power steering pump

Hi everyone! I had to take my car to a local dealer to have power steering pump replaced, I wasn't charged for the steering pump, but the tech told me that when I relocated the power steering reservo,I didn't route the hose correctly and it caused the hose to coalapes and this caused the pump to go bad. so they replaced the power steering pump reservo hose and charged me $123.00 for the labor. nothing for the parts, but $123.00 in labor! that is rediculous!just to put on a hose....

I see. Your sig (or lack thereof) does not mention anything about a vortech or any other mods, so I was a little in the dark. I would say they were being awfully nice by actually replacing the pump for you even though you messed it up by your own doing. $123 for a new pump installed and a new hose isn't that bad if you ask me.

I know,I'm really lucky they covered the parts, but still $123.00 for aout a hour is a little high. but i'll live with it..They started to send me away with the hose colapsed ,they had aready changed the power steering pump. I then asked the manager wouldn't the pump go bad to drive it home. So he agreed the hose needed changeing out before I left there. If he would have garuanted the pump not to fail ,then I would have put it on myself, but I didn't want to take a chance. Although if I would have thought about it ,I could have put it on in the parking lot of the dealership.Oh well! that's life. have complain about something! ha ha ha

It was just an un-expected expense at this time.

Sounds like the normal 1 Hour minimum charge.
