It is pouring rain, but still a great day!!!

Went to traffic court to fight an excessive speeding ticket that had a $368 fine attached. The cop was a no show so I win, the ticket was dropped
This was poetic justice. The old thread I posted about getting this ticket was lost with the server crash. So this is what happened in a nutshell:

-first day on the road after a long winter
-all shined up and driving to a great photo spot
-traffic was slower than molassas (not even going the speed limit)
-finally all the slow bastarts turned off the highway
-after driving a firefly for 3 months I opened my baby up
-cops were right there hiding on the side of the road at the last exit ramp
-busted
-cop could not quit saying "love your car man"
-followed that up with "please sign here"

At least he had a good taste with cars.

Your screen name is appropriate! Congrats on the ticket being dismissed! You can put that fine/court cost money into some mods now.

Nice job. Perhaps the cop was lost in the server crash as well. An awful lot of stuff went missing.

Probably why he no showed. He got his writing quota, but remembered your car, so gave you a 'pass'.

/yeah, right, no way.

How fast were you going. I had one not to far back and just plead guilty and got a reduced fine. Mine was written on the ticket as "35+ over"

I was doing 139 km/h in a 80 zone. Here in BC the law does not allow speeding fines to be reduced by a court. I was lucky because I was doing over 160 (100 mph) when I saw the cops way up the road and slammed the brakes on.

I rarely speed now ( I am 40 years old), but every once in a while I might open it up when there is no traffic.
