Vista Blue complimented with white stripes is awesome.

I came very close to getting a Vista Blue Mustang but abandoned it after the joke of a deal the dealer tried to cut me.

Performance White, Vista Blue and Grabber Orange were on the top of my list. It's too bad that Ford doesn't offer MyColor for the exterior paint...

Anyway, Performance White won out simply because I have an affection for my first car, a 1976 Cobra II.

Ah yeah... The white car!!!! My last mustang was white, and I simply love it!!! Cant go wrong with white!
But I do have a question for ya.
Is that car a real pony package??
The reason I ask is that it has the silver wheels... I thought all the Pony's had the darker wheels.

I have the pony package on my 07 and it has silver Bullitt wheels. I'd like to get the ones that are on the Bullitt Mustang, but I don't want to shell out that cash yet.

The grey bullitt wheels on the 06 pony pkg are quite resonable on the used market. Check e bay

It's a real Pony! All the Pony Mustangs I seen on the car lots at the time I was buying had silver wheels. Could be a runnng change from the gray ones, I am not sure.

I wish I still had mine but that was a LONG time ago. I had it from 1980 to 1983. It was only a five year old car but it was in rather rough condition when I got it. As new as the car actually was, it was in the condition of a 10-15 year old car, had high mileage, had repaired roof damage and the interior was ripped and cracked. I replaced the seats with a set from a junkyard in good condition, however I could not find a dash pad that was not cracked or brittle. The car was purchased for $1700. Cars definitely are made to last longer these days.

Anyway, I stopped having reoccuring dreams about my old car after I got my new one.

I was ready to settle for a base Mustang that I could add what I wanted. I even worked up a white Mustang on Ford's Accessory Customizer site which had the white exterior, black stripes, GT spoiler, hood and side scoops, Pony grille and black Pony wheels. I also did another one in Grabber Orange.

I did the same thing to my grille. I just used a 25" roll of chrome door edge gaurd which fit the edge of the grille perfectly... Here is a pic...

Seeing your pictures up close it looks like you are using the stick on wheel well molding with adhesive on the back side. That kind of molding is only good for flat surfaces with little or no distortion. You are not using a molding that slides onto the perimeter edge of the grille.

I am actually using door edge guard molding which is about 1/4" wide. It has a slit in the back edge with a bead of clear adhesive on the inside. The molding I used is rounded on the front edge. I got my 25' roll of door edge guard from Pep Boys. This door edge guard slides onto the edge of the grille and conforms perfectly to the radiused corners on the grille with no distortion. It looks so good that you could swear it was factory trim. You get the best result by removing the grille first then sliding the molding onto the perimeter edge of the grille.
