Well, tomorrow might be heading off to Iowa, depending on the weather getting a slight rain/moderate snowfall in Indiana right now. For all the sub guys out there I was stationed on the USS Michigan in Bangor, WA from Jun 97-Jan 02 and came across the country to do my time servicing the fast attack submarines stationed in Groton. It's time for me to go back to sea duty, and since I liked the base and area so much up in the Pac Northwest I'm returning there. It's kinda interesting being my 3rd time across country in less then 10 years. How many people can claim that they ever did that even once in their lifetime. Well, hoping for good road conditions in the morning so I can head out. It doesn't look like this storm is gonna be to much as far as sticking since there is some sleet. But if it is I'll still be around tomorrow and will update. I have been thinking about going out and getting a digi cam, since the wife has it with her, and she's been wanting a new one.... hmm. If I do will be able to get pics up in about a week. Now that I keep thinking about it, the idea sounds better and better.

Thanks for the update. Hope the weather cooperates. As far as pics go, I'm sure we'd all like to see some if you decide to pick up another camera. For the wife, of course!

Welcome to the "Evergreen State". I see you were in Groton, does that mean you are headed to the sub base in Bangor? Or is that just coincidence.

Former Submariner?

Oh man...there must be a lot of us !!
RM1 (SS)
USS Hyman G. Rickover SSN-709 (1986-1990) Under Ice Madness!

Nice to hear from you. You should hook up with Anne Bancroft and trek across Antartica in your Mustang. Ford would like all the publicity.

Lots of squids on this board. I was not a submariner, but my dad and uncle were. I was shore based my entire enlistment. I should have known there would be squids here, always alot of hot cars on a Navy base.

Drive safe and be sure to let us know how she does going over the mountains thru the high altitudes. I am anxious to see how well the brain adjusts for the lack of oxygen. The car's I mean.
