I'm all for buying American stuff IF it's the best, but IMO Goodyear has some catching up to do.

In related news... here's a test on the BF Goodrich Traction TA used on the V6:

Ford picked the right tire, they just got the size wrong. Fortunately, you can get a V-rated version of this tire in 235/60-R16, which should fit on the V6's 16x7" rims, assuming that there's enough clearance between the struts and the tire.

I think Goodyear makes some really good high performance tires. Actually, I thnk some of their stuff is actually top notch. However, it's the price for that top notch stuff. I want to put great tires on my car, but I don't want to havwe to sell a kidney to do it.

Use the 17's for winter and still have a nice looking rim, then get nice 18's for the summer (maybe the stock 18's). Hummm....

Dan, it'll come down to coin i guess.
Depending on if I order and i get the car in like nov/dec
I'm going to need an all season or snow tire right off the bat...that will suck

Off FF & MM feature on the 2005...
"The optional 18x9-inch GT rim won't be available until late 2005 or early 2006."
So are BFGs going to be available as soon as the first ones roll out, and what rim is going to be on the 18s if not the 5 spoke?
