Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT Head Install

I installed a Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT in my son’s 2005 Mustang replacing the Shaker head. Everything works great except the door sub-woofers. I have research many sites for wiring and cannot find a diagram that matches his as follows:
J3 pin 1 pk, pin 2 yl/pk
J4 pin 1 br/pk, pin 2 pk/teal, pin3 shield, pin 4 teal.
Can someone tell me which wire I hook the 12vdc from the head to turn on the amp and which wires I need to connect the speakers (from-to) to get the subs on-line?

FYI the schematic I have identifies the pins as follows:
J4 pin 1 – Aux Aud 1+
J4 pin 2 – Aux Aud 1-
J4 pin 3 – Aux Aud Shield
J4 pin 2 – Aux Aud Enable
J3 pin 1 – Stereo in L+ (FES CDDJ)
J3 pin 2 – Stereo in L- (FES CDDJ)

Are you actually splicing wires from the OEM harness to the head unit wires ? When I did my head unit I got a cheap metra harness for my car which has plugs that fit the OEM harness. You splice the wires on it to the wires on the new head unit and then it's just a matter of plugging the new harness into the OEM harness. I had to wire a voltage regulator in the line to the subs so they didn't pop when turned on , but that is all. Here's a link to an install thread maybe it will help ...

My issue is that although the Metra harness connected all the wires from the Big plug J1 in the Mustang harness, it does not appear to connect the subs. Yes I did solder them together. Do I only need to attach the 12vdc to the J4 pin 2 (really 4) Aux Aud Enable or do I need to connect some input to the subwoofer + & - inputs (Aux Aud 1- & 1+?)? Appreciate the resistor recommendation.

The metra harness should have two plugs and the smaller one is for the subs. Did you look at the link I provided it shows the install , different unit but the same principle ...

Which Metra harness are you using?

Yep theres two rca plugs on it with a remote and gnd wire i beleive. Door subs wont work without this. Should only be like 10 bucks for everything.

heres the harness

I have the same issue with the door subs, but I am using the PAC C2R-FRD1 harness.

It looks like the left/right sub plugs with the remote and ground wires are connected to the little plastic box part of the harness, which then has leads for:

Illumination (Orange/White)
+12v Acc.1 AMP max (Red)
Amp Turn-On (Blue/White)
Reverse Light (Green)
VSS (Purple/White)
Parking Brake (Red/White)

The main harness has: (speaker connections left out)
SWC Output (White/Green)
Battery (Yellow)
Ground (Black)
Antenna (Blue)

This is a Shaker 1000 with the Shelby Kicker system in place, but harness connections from Pioneer -> Pac C2R -> OEM harness should remain the same.

Looks like maybe I might have used the Antenna Turn on wire on the main harness for the door sub turn out instead of perhaps the Amp-turn on on the plastic box?

Maybe both should be connected? Not 100% sure other than my door subs aren't working.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. We now have thumping subs. A sweet sound even for these old ears. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. It should have been obvious but the directions were not clear to me.
