Well Here you Go! The Infamous Gt Engine Cover has been Born. Unfortunately it will not be used until 07. With Current Info I expect this to be available in June 06. No Pricing as of yet. I will Post as Info Changes! As Usual you heard / saw it on TMS First!

I wonder how much FORD will want for it since Auto gear has already been selling a knock off version, which I bought and is very nice. However I have to sell mine after having it for 1 week because I ordered the CDC shaker system.

I was Going to Get a Roush Blower but the Auto Version is on The Back Burner. Aye Carumba! So Personally I have been undecided on the Cover!

Wonder if it'll be stamped metal instead of plastic though? If its metal, I'm all over that.

Kudos KC! Another great "scoop"!

Not Surprising! I am Sure the Got thier Hands on a FORD Prototype for the Design. It will probaly Stimulate Their Sales since Ford is DRAGGING Thier Feet on Release. Unless They Release a Accessory Version. I would not Count on it.

I'll bet the one from Ford is closer to the show car's. Check out the difference:

See how the pony is recessed and the "Powered by Ford" lettering is raised?

the only difference is raised letters and the sunken pony. Nice part about the aftermarket one is you can design your own so you have a one-of-a-kind, well, until someone copies you

Same as this cover but without the pony. I have not added anything in that area yet.

Stripes are 10 3/4" wide with 1" gap.

I wonder if the reason it won't show up until the '07 model year is because it will be on the rumored California Special?

It'll be harder to get the dirt out from around the recessed pony, but I like the raised letters.

so do you have to just bolt it ontop of intakes, or remove stuff to put it on?

The midwest Auto Gear one is just bolted right on over the intake. 4 bolts. takes about 10 minutes.

Aluminum or metal I would think would get really HOT under the hood.

I like the idea of having them color cordinate to the car.

The receased pony is nice though!!

This may sound lame, but I really hope they come up with something like this to help us lowly V6 owners dress out our engine bay. There is an option out there, but it looks too much like a shoebox. I was hoping to see something that shows off the runners... like this one does. It's a shame because I doubt anyone will bother hooking us up with a well thought out cover like this.

Like I said... the only choice I've seen looks like a shoebox that got cut and stuck over the intake - with a large swoop coming down the front for the throddle body.

Guess we'll see. Definately glad to see Ford hopping on their own bandwaggon. Shame it's a little late to pick up sales from the enthusiasts that wanted it ASAP.

I was under the impression that Midwest Auto was looking at a solution for the V6 crowd.
