I wanted to share a few pictures of a few upgrades that I have done to my GT.
Below is a picture of the interior with the pony power plug and polished aluminum A/C *****, which tied in nicely with my non IUP interior in Light Graphite cloth. Also on the seat is the running pony key chain in pewter.

 

This photo shows, well kind of shows my K&N filter. Mainly it does show my Quicklift hood struts by Redline Tuning. They function well and really look sharp. The strut boots were like $6.00 at AutoZone, I got the guys who installed the struts to install those as well.

Those struts are nice.
I've had mine 6 weeks, 2000 miles.
All I've done is the antenna nub delete thing and the clear plastic floor mats I'm sure most of us have.
Looking at tint next and then the K&N or the CAI.

Nice pics. How much did the struts set you back and where did you pick them up?

 

Did you tint the side windows? Or did you just leave them? Where did ya get them done and how much?

 

The hood struts came from Redline Tuning, they are on the net, they were $59.99. All of the hardware was included along with colored instructions, although I didn't put them on.

The rear three windows are all tinted at 35%, cost for all three around $100.00. I had to compromize with my lovely wife on the tint % since she drives the car every once in awhile, and was worried about night driving with the two sides two dark. I have to agree, my 4Runner had limo tint from the rear passenger area to the back and at night it was a little hard to see out. Anyway 35% works, no need to flip the rear view mirror at night when cars are behind you and helps with the fade issue. As for the K&N filter, K&N says 2 to 4% inc. in HP and Torque, who knows at least I will not have to purchase no more filters..........

 

The struts are a nice addition for the hood

 

Those floormats look like they fit well. Where are they from?

 

Clear plastic floor mats, went right over the factory mats. They function real well and catch all the dirt and don't move around, all you have to do is pull them out and shake. Those fine floor mats came from none other than Wally World, for a back breaking $8.00 ea. Truly bang for the buck, that is if ya like them.

 

Do the strut boots rub the paint anywhere? They look big enough that they might.

 

I have always gotten the K&N filters for my cars. However, this time around I think I am going to go with the CAI. Is there one out yet for the 05 GT's?

I like the struts but prefer the look of them without the rubber boots.

 

The boots, were an after thought, purchased them at AutoZone for around $6.00 for both. I thought they would help to keep any dust out of the cylinder for a longer strut life. The looks of them are okay, more function than fashion. As far as them rubbing the paint, I feel that will be a non issue, as they are extremly soft material. If I see any evidence of this occuring, I would remove them.
