Beautiful car! Does the hood open, lol! I'm dying to see if all '07 Mustangs have the stubby shock tower brackets to acommodate the width of the GT500 5.4 engine. Snap us one from the business end if you don't mind.

Wow...That dark IUP is a little darker than I expected. Maybe it's just the lighting in your photo's...but it's hard to see much contrast on the panel over the rest of the car.

Clears that up, was figuring it would be someplace on the face of the unit. Good idea to put it in the console.

Thanks MrLatte.

Steve, that is a beautiful car in a great setting. I love your color combo. Of course I'm prejudiced! Have a few bananas. .

Care to share where you found the whole Owner's Manual in PDF form? I haven't seen that published yet.

Of course the key reason to get a mirror like that is to have it turn on the lights for you when it is dark automatically and to have them turn off when it is light. I've had this feature in my '97 Mountaineer for 145,156 miles.

There's nothing on the Shaker 1000 that let's you know there's Sirius. To select it, you hit the Aux Button. It cycles through Sat1 (gives you 6 presets), Sat2 (another 6 presets), Sat3 (another 6) and Aux (IPod Adaptor). The songs & Artist, etc. are displayed on the normal display. I don't know if this is the same head unit as on the '06's.

The autodim mirror is sweet. If you've never had one, it's great not having to flip the lever. The other thing is that there's varying degrees of darkening, based on how bright the light is behind you.

One other new feature for '07 is when you unlock the car w/the key fob, the headlights light your way for 30 seconds. This can be disabled via the owner's manual. Only drawback is this happens during the day too.
Thanks for the additional pics. Having taken a closer looks at the photos, I guess I am back on board getting the Sirius. I still wish they would have put the antenna on the inside of the windshield, but it isn't as bad as I first thought, as the wing hides it from most angles.

On the dark IP, does that have some kind of texture or pattern to it? I think I read somewhere that it was supposed to kind of have a carbon fiber type look or texture to it. I like the color, but wonder if it is solid or a pattern? It is hard to tell from the pics, can you please enlighten us?

I second the request for the engine bay pics. I am curious to see them as well. Also, are the exhaust tips stock, or a Ford accessory, can't tell that from the pics either...I must be getting old, ha, ha.

Thanks for helping us all out by showing us your new baby! It is hard to believe that folks are already getting their cars, and Ford still hasn't updated their website or have any brouchures out.

Thanks again,
Buster

Got back from the first night-time drive. It rained all day here and finally cleared up before sunset. I took my 15 year old daughter with for the drive. It was a bit cool, but we refused to put the windows up. 5 minutes into the drive my daughter says, "boy these heated seats are just the thing for cool nights". Duh, why the heck didn't I think of that? After about 3 minutes, they started warming up nicely....both the seat bottoms and the back. I can see why there's a 10 minute timer on them as they get pretty toasty, but I would rather have had an adjustable setting. Auto dim mirror worked pretty nicely also.

Snapped a few pics of the engine bay for those who wanted to see if the strut mounts changed. My wife said, "you've got the camera out there again?", but hey today was Father's Day, so nothing could bother me.

Only frustation today was trying to refold the soft boot. What useless instructions in the owner's manual and on the sheet of paper that came with the boot. I'm in the I.T. field and yet couldn't understand the stupid diagram. I think my 7 year old could have done a better job illustrating it with his crayons. I wish I would have paid attention when I unfolded it, but you know I was like the kid in "Christmas Story" when he was unwrapping the Daisy BB Gun. Can anyone explain how to fold this thing the right way? Thanks.

I think I found it over at Stangsunleashed.com but it looks to be available at the Ford Fleet website as well:
