I forgot to add my headlight are a vibrant blue HID system and my fog lamps are a bright dichroic white PIAA system. At night, my car looks SOOOOOO friggin' awesome, that I actually try to park in front of stores with big glass windows just so I can see the reflection. Sad, I know, but well worth the view

I will immediately get an HID kit on the 2005, but the new headlight code - 9008 - is so new I don't think there's any HID kit from Japan compatible with it just yet... :notnice:

The stripes are vinyl -- really. There was a guy on a Harley behind me and coming up fast one day, but curse be those red lights, as we both got stopped. He was nice enough to tell me what a great paint job I have.

As I like to say, a GOOD decal application should cost around $400 by a professional AND it should look like paint. This means the applicator left no air bubbles and used a laser to perfectly align the stripes, which was done on mine.

I also think the 2005 is better for stripes, as there are less curves and angles to deal with on the OEM hood, so the stripes look more smooth than on 99-04 model V6s and GTs. Since I have a blue/white combo, I'll most likely try for a silver/white combo next, depending upon the type of rims I find look best on the 05' car... waiting for those fan blade styles to come out, but not sure when that'll be.

Thanks for the reply Drew ,and I agree that the 2005 stang looks better with the lemans stripes on it rather than without .It just that for me when I do the stripe on my car I'm going to blackout the back area in the recess of the tail lights and stripes going through and around the rear spoiler as well so when the time comes I wil have to see if this can be done in vinyl or not .As well I'll have to see if the shop has a lazer or if there doing it by eye for the vinyl stripe (or paint ) .I can see where that could make a huge differance in the quality of the job!! B) thanks again!!
