I'm sorry I missed all the fun, I think this guy probably forgot to bookmark the site, and will probably never post again. You don't think he could remember his password, do you?

Tip to those of you who indulge like Stoner, leave off the rat poison. Weed is strong enough as it is.

Or so I have heard.

Looks like Stoner's been hitting the evil bong again! What an idiot! I bought my 2 Cobras because of looks and performance, and reliability has never been an issue!
Why don't you and Michael Moore go hit the nearest buffet and dream up another conspiracy theory? It seems both of you like to butt in where you're not wanted and twist the facts!

This guy is so far off base I do believe he lives up to his name...Best thing to do with people like this is to ignore them and hope they go away. He obviously has vision problems, can't differentiate between price and brands and since this topic has nothing to do with the new mustang anyway, why am I even acknowledging it?

I bet this troll wasn't aware that the new Mustang is designed by a Japanese designer and built alongside the Mazda 6.

Every car has its problems, domestic and foreign.

This is probably a kid around the age of 15 who can't afford any said car in the thread. I wouldn't worry about the bull he's throwing around too much.

Let me just ask you guys, how many times a year do you guys have your car in the repair shop (speaking to Ford owners). Let me rephrase that, how many weeks a year is your car sleeping in the repair shop?
Here's the rundown of the 3 cars I've owned in my life:
- a 1995 Jeep Wrangler: only unusual repairs was a new radiator at 120,000 miles.
- a 1998 Ford Mustang GT: no repairs to this point and it has 81,000 miles.
- a 2005 For Mustang GT: nothing to report in the first 1,000 miles!

All American cars all very reliable and all driven hard, especially the Jeep.

American cars are known to break down, and the name Ford is nothing special. Why don't you just go with the Benz C-Class, for about the same price you can get a Benz, now common I would rather be riding in a European car then an American car any day, and this is coming from a guy that was born in Southern California.
Check out this article on edmunds.com: Consumer Reports Reliability Survey

According to Consumer Reports, American cars have caught up and even exceeded the Europeans on reliability. They even talk about your beloved C-Class.

Before you buy your Mustang I recommend you talk to other people (like the wonderful people on this forum) who have owned a Ford for about 3+ years, ask them if they had to ever take it to the shop (for things other then upgrades, oil changes, and tune ups).
OK... I've had a Ford Mustang GT from a year that was not known to be one of the model's best years (1998) for about 3 years and 30,000 miles. I've never taken the car to the shop except for scheduled maintenance.

Asian cars: They will last FOREVER, literally, my mother and father both got a 1986 Camry (NEW) and they ended up selling them without a single problem. And something else to consider is that Asian cars have an EXCELENT resale value.
I won't deny that at all. My mother is a diehard Toyota person and her cars do last forever. We had a 1982 Corolla station wagon 5-speed that lasted 200,000 miles easy and still resold for $2000.

Folks, I've already got my '05 GT. It's really well put together. I would use it as a perfect example of the things that Ford is doing to increase the quality and style of their products. Definitely sit in one, drive it, check it out for yourselves, but in my humble opinion, you will not be disappointed. Everywhere I drive I have people coming over and asking about the car and wanting to sit in it. They all seem to love the design and the quality of the finish and materials in the interior.

Cheers!
-Juris

I wonder why this thread was ever entertained or encouraged by replying to someone who just wanted to **** you off. We as Mustang fans do not have to justify how we feel about the Mustang. Just wondering thas all.

I'm almost ashamed to jump in on this thread. Most of the feedback is both humoris and valid. I would, however, add that I am an "older" dude who was brought up in the Detriot area and have been involved in racing, customizing and general car stuff for lotsa years.

In all that time, I have attended lotsa street rod events and ...

HAVE YET TO SEE A HOT '32 TOYOTA ANYWHERE

The dude was just trolling. The best thing to do with this kind of thread is ignore it if you're a member and if you're a mod, ban him and delete the manure that the trolls post.

Good luck my hard working brethrens!
Besides the fact that "brethren" is already plural Mercedes has a lower customer satisfaction and reliability index than Ford and most other auto manufacturers.
