To paint or not to paint

I have a thread on the brake duct kit I am making in the GT performance section and need some advice. Paint the inlets chrome or leave them black. There will be either an aluminum or stainless screen put in them.

1st vote goes to chrome... only cause what's the worst that can happpen? You do it and not like it so you paint em black then! You can't lose!

I'd paint them a satin silver finish with a black mesh screen.

Decided to paint them chrome. Installed one and loosely fit the lower grill in place. I am happy with it. The stainless screen will be about 1" recessed inside the opening once I can get some material.

Looks great Richard! Good choice with the chrome, looks even better than I would have anticipated.
