Red face

I did this list just for those who won't read the entire owner's manual like I did (it was either read the manual or watch Larry King).

Some nifty new features in the 2005 Mustang:

:: One-Touch Up/Down Windows, Driver and Passenger Sides
:: Auto-Seal Windows (like on BMW's -- windows open/close slightly when doors are opened and then closed)
:: Speed-Sensitive Stereo System (drive faster, radio gets louder)
:: Accessory Delay (you can use windows and radio for 10 minutes after the ignition is shut off -- seen in many Chevy's and a NICE feature)
:: Dual Subwoofer with Integrated Amplifier (for Shaker 1000 Audiophile Sound System, located in 1/4 of the trunk)(PS- still not sure where that 9th speaker is)(PPS- It's possible the sub in rear counts as one speaker and there are two inside the cabin, maybe mounted by side mirrors like the 99-04 Mach systems...?)
:: Active Alarm w. Interior Motion Detector (can also open and close windows from the alarm fob or key, while outside the vehicle)

I SAY :// Nice stuff for a $20K - $27K automobile, huh! :drive:

What I dont see is the tire pressure monitoring indication on the message center. Wasn't there a picture showing a tire message?

Yeah, saying 'a tire is a low'
That kinda thing

This car won't tell you what the PSI are, and which tire is low.
If you don't have the message center, you just get an idiot light that has 'tire pressure warning' and if you do have the message center, it will also have text telling you....TIRE PRESSURE WARNING

In other words, you have to check the tire pressure on your own, but one or more is off....

I think that just letting you know there is a problem suffices. The actual pressure is overkill. Most of our Company cars have these tire pressure monitors, one broke recently on a car that was just out of warranty and it cost $650.00 to replace, plus, the tire places destroy the valves when they change the tire, $30 each!

When I learnt to drive, my dad taught me to check all the tires, I just do it without thinking. If the car is sitting down on one corner, chances are you've got a flat!

I understand this. However, when I was looking at the owners manual I did not find any reference to this monitoring system. The system warning are located on pages 56-57. Is this something they felt was not needed? or did they leave it out of the owners manual?

Here is the link for the tire pressure system no real reason to keep asking this question. I just noticed that it was missing from the owners manual (under system warnings).

According to mapquest, Douglas, GA is a little over 3 hours drive from me. So what that really means is somewhere around 2.5 hours. B)

Cool, I was hoping you were closer, you could then track down the idiot that owned it and kick him for me for leaving the roof down for 3 months in the RAIN!!!! I have no exterior rust, but plenty if interior rust :bang:

Hey guys thanks for the update, Though the mach 460 has the speed sensitive volume on my 03 gt. just push the volume button with the radio on hold it for like 5 seconds and you can adjust it. This comes in handy especially with my surfboard or my mountain bike on the roof. I am glad they are bringing it back. Have an awesome day!

Anyone notice that they actually have an icon on the fuel gauge that tells you what side of the car your fuel filler door is located? That could very well be the biggest waste of space ever.

That icon is pretty small. And would not be entirely useless on a rental car. Not that it will help me much though, because having filled up the on the passenger side for the past eighteen years, it will take me awhile to break that habit (a small price to pay).

The arrow indicating the side of the fuel cap is actually a good idea, especially when friends or family drive your car (except my upcoming 2005 of course, "Get away!!!!" lol)
