Has anyone ordered a vert yet, or are they even taking orders? I plan on ordering mine this week if my local dealer is taking orders. Also, talked to ford employee neighbor of mine and he is gonna pull some strings and possibly let me walk my new stang down the line at AAI. Sounds pretty cool!!! B) :worship:

I am planning on a vert, but have not ordered yet. I have a dealer who will honor x-plan. I do want to know more about the verts first.

I think that, although dealers are accepting orders, Ford is not yet pulling orders for verts. And with Job 1 slated for 1/31/05, we've still got a ways to go.

Funny thing is, from the spy photos, and some really good photoshops that i've seen, it looks as though the vert may be one of those few cars that looks better with the top up than down, and may be one of the few cars that i really prefer the look of the hardtop overall. Then again, look at the '69 Mustangs where the '05 draws much of it's heritage. Most people would much rather have a '69 hardtop than vert.

For me, i'm waiting to see the vert (and hardtop) in person before making any decisions. I may just wait for '06, as I'm hoping that the '06's have an 18" wheel option. Those Hallibrand style wheels on the V6 would look amazing on an 18" rim...

I'm not a big fan of the vert, but my main reason for ordering the coupe is the amount of break-ins/vandalism that occurs to verts in my area. Nothing says steal my stuff like a top that can be opened with a knife.

I've been watching this site for convertible news for quite some time. I will continue to do so because I plan to hit my dealers floor the moment Ford starts accepting orders for verts. I am a bit reluctant to order it sooner because there is a chance that it may lay in his drawer when the moment arrives (I believe sometime around mid-ovember) an at a time when communication with the dealer might be difficult (I have a rather full travel schedule lined up for November).

I guess I am saying I have a lot more faith in the information I get here than at the dealers.

Congrats on the car, don't think walking it down the line is going to happen.

I am planning on ordering the vert, but will wait till December or January. I want to see if the 18's will be an option. I am also waiting till I can see each of the colors in person. I am drawn to the Legend Lime but have not seen it live. Pictures can only do so much Vs. a live viewing.

OK I'm back..............still going to wait for the vert, but what a car. Drove the legend lime GT, the only up-grade it had was the shaker 1000 stero. The rest of the car was plain with dard charcoal clotlh seats.

Let me tell you the pick up and torque is much greater than my '02 vert, and not even trying lays a good patch of rubber in first and scecond gear. Seats are low and very comfortable, with great driving position, real east to reach the shifting leaver.

Drove the car about 15 miles and really can not tell you how good it is. The dealer also had a black GT that is a plain jane, nothing on it at all.

After driving I want!!!!!!!!!!! But do want the IUP and and the interior color accent package.

Now for the real good stuff. After driving the car my wife and I stoped at BK to get something to eat. Just getting ready to leave and I look out side and see a silver GT drive by. Tell my wife to drag it because I want to catch that car and have a look see. Follow this poor guy for about 5 miles and he pulls into a Honda deraler, and I follow. The guy with him works there, and he was bring him to his car.

I ask if I can look at his Mustang and he says go ahead, and tell me he picked it up from his dealer only 6 hours ago. And he loves the car and has been driving it since he picked it up.

Satin Siler Metallic GT Premium
Red leather interior color accent package
IUP
shacker 1000
everything looked beautiful..............I WANT ONE!

MUST WAIT....................................... :bang:

I just do not leave anything at all in mine, pointless breaking into a car that you cannot steal and there is nothing to steal inside it!

I even leave the glove box and the centre open so they can see it's empty!
