Thumbs up

Ordered today with no deposit required because they said they will sell it if I don't want it. Told not to look for it before April 1st. Said VIN could be generated 2 weeks from now or 6 weeks from now due to the delay that was involved with the IUP. I can wait....don't drive my stangs in the snow anyway... :nono:

Got it for MSRP minus like $2,000 for X-Plan.

Sonic Blue GT
Dark Charcoal Interior
IUP
Side Airbags
Bullitt Rims
Shaker 500

Day I get it---tinted windows and white stripes!

Congrats. With the Jan hold on IUP, April sounds about right.

Four months huh. I wonder, if I can order by mid to late March, will they fix the problems in time to get it to me by the end of June? Just in time to pick my little brother up at the airport when he comes to visit from Greece. I told him I would if I could.

Did you order IUP? If you did are you aware of the IUP issues? I don't think they are pulling IUP orders. there was a big thread on this try searching for IUP I'm sure you will find it.

Daniel, you ordered Oct 19th? I would bug my dealer and find out what the deal is. I ordered Oct 26th and the car is sitting outside. I am not bragging on that, it just seems wrong that you ordered a week before me and the car is not build yet. Good luck sir.

The funny part is when you ask the dealer, at least mine what the hold up is on the IUP they really don't have a solid answer for you. Just that there is a hold up. hehe kind of frustrating.

Ford acknowledges receipt of your order, so the dealer submitted it.

You may have had a really low (i.e. close to 100) priority number, from a dealer with a tiny allocation of Mustangs. So it is taking an inordinately long time to "process" your order and send it to the production line.

I ordered mine yesterday, dealer did not say anything about the IUP delay. Just told me it probably wouldnt be here until March. Guess that will give my time to save up money, was just hoping to unload my civic before i had to replace all the belts and hoses but doesnt look like that will happen.

Good luck Daniel, your wait may have initially been due to dealer allocation, then when the order was taken by Ford the IUP backup occurred?????? at least they have it now and the car is in the works.
