Which would the most of you do?

I have on ordered under the X-Plan a GT yellow Mustang. With the current IUP package problems, not sure when it will arrive.

OR there is a dealership I know that has the exact same car, but the dealership wants MSRP. It is about a $2000.00 difference.

All Opinions are welcome.

wait it out a little longer, if after the new year there is still a back order for the IUP, look around for your car. DONT COMPROMISE with a different color or options though. I did that once, and you will be very disappointed if you do not get what you really want!!

Good Luck.

When did you order yours?

I ordered my car on 11-22.

As far as compromising, the cars are identical. It is just the cost difference versus waiting time.

Hehe your voting system ended up a little funky...if you can talk him down to your other price, I'd jump on the lot one. Tell him your deal with the other dealership...might make him think a bit harder about it.

Sorry about the voting system. First time I ever tried to create a Poll.

My wife is go get the lot car.
My dad is wait it out.

Price difference would be about 38.00 month.

$2000 is $2000. Or $38 a month for 5 years if you have to borrow the money. Do you plan to keep the car for 5 years? Only you can tell if it's worth 2000 to get the car 45 days sooner.

I would definitley wait.

Do what feels right.

x plan is a sweet deal but how important is getting the very best deal possible to you. Would you rather brag about how bad hiney your new ride is, or how great your payment and apr are?

I get razzed by people who say "christ you paid msrp??!! you shoulda held out for a few months and wait until you get incentives" I don't give a darn, I work hard for my money so I can make my life more enjoyable. This car adds far more enjoyment per dollar spent per month than any other activity I do.

WAIT! Patience is a virtue. I'm dead set on the MyColor IUP and that's what I'm going to do. If it comes down to the issue (and I hope not) that MyColor IUP is no more, then so be it. But trust me, Wait for the car that you WANT, not the car you SETTLE. :stubborn:

45 days? Probably a lot more than that.

try to negotiate and bring the price down about 1000 then go for it. Know how to negotiate, don't come in and say , "Hey, I was wondering if you could lower the price a little....o you can't......well, ok."

Be confident and still amicable when you negotiate but just say you want 1000 off the car and you will buy it right then and there.

Good luck.

Walk in there like you are ready to do it but only if for the right price. Make the offer and let him think about it. If the car sells then it was not meant to be.

Or you can push the xplan on him. I don't think the dealer loses out on X-plan.

Spend $2,000 more for the exact same car so you can have it now, that's entirely up to you. I personally would not spend the extra $$$$ to have it now. I would wait and get the one I ordered for less. It all depends on if you have the patience to wait, if not spend the extra $2,000 and think about it later.

That would be $2,000 plus the interest you pay (if you borrow).

If you had that two grand, think of the mods you could do.

Wait. 2k is too much extra for a couple more months enjoyment IMO.

Your ordered car will get here. Like others have said, see if you can get X-plan pricing, or a figure close to it, on the vehicle on the lot. Otherwise, IMO, $2,000 is a lot to part with to get the vehicle now. Think of what you could do with that saved $2,000 (modifications, savings, etc.)

But, of course, it also depends on how important $2,000 plus interest it to you.

Best of luck.

Well, did the dealer hold at MSRP, or did he meet you in the middle?
