orange peel?
I'm going to try to post a pic.
It's courtesy of badandy and his beautiful Torch Red GT.
Edit: Looks like someone beat me to the pic. I spent 15 mins looking for that pic.

OK lets get some things straight here...YES orange peel is a huge pain....but NO its not permanent. There are ways of getting rid of it. Every car I spray I wetsand and polish after. I always put an extra coat of clear on it when Im painting because I know That I will probably be taking it off in that process. As for new cars that have bad peel you can try to do this as well but I would not recommend it :nono: Basically because there is very little clear put on at the factory, and you have to know what your doing!! If you do want to do this have it done professionally. That way IF they burn through THEY are responsible. Also, before you drive your new car off the lot LOOK at it closely. I know its easy to get caught up in the excitement of the new car thing but take a breath and inspect your car. If its got peel tell them you want it dealt with at their cost. Wetsanding and polishing can be very pricey!! But when its done right it looks incredible!!

If you practise on a few cars, you'll be amazed at what the eye will pick up!

BTW guys. In case you don't know or haven't noticed. The orange peel is produced by the clearcoat and not usually the paint. If you have any doubt, find yourself an '02 Mustang (SEs and Cobras excempted) or newer then open the trunk or raise the hood. You'll find the underside of each lacks clearcoat and the paint is "flat and even", close it and look at the top where there is clearcoat. You'll know what I mean then.
