Thumbs up

On page 24 of the 05 Mustang brochure are the color choices and, at the bottom, reference to "Genuine Ford Accessories." Shown is a photo of a 17" "chromed" five-spoke "Bullitt" style wheel with chromed three spoke "spiiner hub." The description also says it comes in argent, black, beige and silver painted versions.

Has anyone 9new owners?) asked dealers about these optional 17 inchers? Wonder if they are in stock for substitution right now. Sure sounds like an interesting option until the 18" fan blades appear next year.

I got about the same quote from my dealer (they don't have any yet)...It's also polished and not chrome, if I'm not mistaken. I think I will just wait and get 18's even though I do like the look of those.

Could be a tough choice. Will be interesting to see these on the cars as time goes. $220 per is pretty hefty though.

$220.00 a piece for chrome rims is not that bad. I want to see some 18's though.

Brochure says "polished", but they look bright enough to be chrome.

Do to the fact I was screwed on first delivery and went to different dealer tonight and ordered.

Are you guys saying you can order the bullitt spinners as opton factory? Or from the parts department at the dealership?

I ordered the "spinners" for the stock wheels. The Fleet Manager went
through the parts department. Believe all the Ford wheels have the same
size center holes.

The only part I couldn't order right now was the locking gas cap.....they said
Ford didn't have it available for shipment yet.
