Sup peeps! I was planning on getting an '05 V-6 White Mustang with possible black stripes down the middle and also the rocker panel stripe, the window vent visors, possible louvers for the back side windows(available?) I had them on my 98 stang. Black interior with the IUP. Sound good anyone? I would love to get a GT but you know, how many 20 yr olds can afford that insurance? Also, does anything think a sunroof would be a mistake? I have wondered if it would look funny....

 

no sunroof insurance isn't that bad did you look into it? i am 21 my insurance isn't too bad and i got the 05 in gt loaded i also have on it a 2001 lightning and my 91gt

Sunroofs don't look that great, but you're buying hte car for you so, if you want one, get one. Personally, I'm a fan of stripes so go for it. I think the IUP will take the interior from plain to outstanding. I don't believe real aluminum trim comes on a mid 20k or less car that often.

If you want a sunroof in a stang, get a convertible.

 

I would go with the convertible (no sunroof).

Also, stay away from the MUSTANG stripe on the rocker! I have seen new Mustangs with and without the rocker stripe, and it looks better without.

 

but if you get a vert, don't be one of those people that has the top down but the windows rolled up, that drives me crazy, just one of my pet peeves.

 

 

So true...It looks funny. In my last car (Honda S2000) the windows automatically go dow when you put the top down. Don't know if it's like that for every Vert, but you can see that they are meany to be down when the top is down.

 

I like white on the Mustang. It must be the lines of this car make most colors look great! Most new white cars to me look like tic tacs..

With the stripes its either or, do not put stripes on rockers and the middle. Way too much, takes away from the sleek clean lines of the car. I think the car looks awesome with stripes down the middle.

A sun roof will distroy this car completly, and IMO kill any resale value. If you want open air go with the vert, that looks kick *ss too!

 

Yea i thought the sunroof was nice on my 98 stang but i didnt think so on the 05. Also, i was kind of thinking that all the stripes would be too much. Does anyone think that there will be louvers for the smaller side windows or will the 98 mustangs fit??? Also, insurance for me on an 05 V-6 is 250 or so a month, full coverage and i have no points on my license but i do live in columbus ohio. Insurance is too expensive!

 

There will most likely be louvers.

I like the idea of stripes, but not the sunroof. Remember that since the roof isn't completely flat, it couldn't slide under, but would have to be mounted on top of the roof.

 

I agree. Your black and white combo sounds nice, though I'd personally go with blue stripes and interior rather than black. I'd go with the rag top rather than the sun roof.

I don't know about Black Stripes, but I LOVE the Blue on White Combo! This Picture just happens to be my current wall paper right now too.

 

That combo is very nice. I love the body colored mirrors.
