Odd...I ordered mine on 5/31 and I recieved my build date friday. My build date is 7/27. You might want to call and talk to your dealer to find out what's going on.

At about 5 weeks I started hating the Friday morning C/U messages. Couldn't believe it when I heard the word serialized a few weeks later. Numb again as it turned back into a waiting game until my build week. Longer than usual wait because of the 2 week plant down time in early July. It's getting there but seems to get harder each week.

Yeah, it's only been like 2 weeks for me and I'm already goin nuts  The summer shouldn't be so bad, with staying drunk and enjoying the weather and beach. But come Sept. it's gonna get bad!

Whoa!! Did you say July 27th? I thought production wasn't supposed to begin until August 8th!? If the build date you were given is correct, then this is very, very good news.

Aww, #$@%! I was pretty pumped there for a minute... Oh well, that's still some progress for soon-to-be '05 owners!

In my case I know what is going on..I live in Maine and Ford isnt giving alot of allocation to the Hortheast. My dealer has allocation for my stang yet cant get it pulled from Ford. They wonder why they cant sell them up here. Ive been waiting since March btw.

This reminds me of the movie Platoon...everyone talking how much time they got left. I consider myself a shortimer, been "in country" since Jan 21, with a build date of July 18.

I know you hear this over and over, but you'll see it's true. These cars are so worth the wait!! I waited 5 1/2 months for mine and you definitely go through the range of emotions. Hang in there!

There sure is a lot of variablity in how long people need to wait for these cars. I decided to get my wife one on May 3rd and got in line on that day. We got bumped up in line once when someone ahead of us bailed out on their car and we now have a build-week of 7/18.

I ran into a guy a week ago who had a brand new GT Premium Convertible with the upgraded interior package. He bought the car off the lot.

Makes me think of when I "served" last summer from 8-9-04 to 11-20-04... The ride home only got sweeter with the wait
