I love that car, but why would 'SVT' provide a Certificate?! Well . . good for him, hope he gets his price.

I'm gonna put M A T T ' S C A R in big letters on the side of my car like that one. I'm sure the cars hot, but come on, get those letters off there.

Is it me or shouldn't that car, pretty much one of a kind, fetch more than the $ 45,000 buy it now price ? Just seems odd.

That is interesting... unless I missed it the article, MM&FF did not say a thing about Fords or SVTs involvement. It is possible, but I don't see them a major participator in the project. The custom used to be that these cars go to the crusher when they are done with the show circuit if they have major involvement by the manufacture. This is due mostly to liability concerns.
That being said... they need to loose the Mustang II styling… Those white wheels looked darn good on my Dad’s 78 F-250. Sorry, but I lived thru that underpowered nightmare once and don’t care to again.

I don't remember any mention of SVT when the guy first posted about putting this Mustang together. The certificate is interesting piece of paper calling it a 1 of 1. I wonder what you have to do to get SVT to issue one of these for any person's particular car? I mean, isn't every customized car out there basically a "1 of 1". I don't see any significant extra value in the certificate since the car appears to be custructed with 100% off the shelf parts that anyone can buy and install.

Because this is an aftermarket modified car, not a factory Ford. As such its value is limited. He'll have a lot of trouble getting $45K for it.

SVT had no involvement with this car. The certificate is just a way of saying that whomever modified the car did a good job.

[/b][/quote]Could be, but I doubt he did. From the other discussions we've had on this car here, recall that the guy started the Lightning owners group and has a company that does mods for them. Believe he said he knows some people in SVT so they might have done something up for him.

Ive seen that car before is not a shelby or Cobra.... its just a GT .. there was an article i read about it. Its just some guys that built " what they think a cobra should look like if there ever was going to be one made" It was made before the '07 was finalized im pretty sure.. but i dont know anything about the certificate.. prob. a fake cert.

This is very old news. Pics of that car have been posted on this site for close to a year now.

there are some things I don't like about the car and some I do. Of course I like the shelby stripes. Don't care for the white rims or the side stripes. The back of my car is going to be painted almost the same as that one so obviously I'm going to say I like it.

Aren't those vinyl stripes on the car?

On that one they are, no different than mine right now. I was refering to the point that my car is getting repainted and I will be blacking out the center section of the rear.
