Yes, illegal to run O/R pipes on the streets. Not only do they polute the air, but they're loud as heck. I have no idea why anyone would want to run one.

Indeed it is highly irresponsible. Since I work across the street from a regional EPA office, there's NO WAY I would be stupid enough to have an offroad pipe on my car, or do burnouts in front of the EPA building on the street, or make a lot of noise in general

Yep, just the other day as a matter of fact, I had a Miami Sherriff follow me for a while, I thought he was just giving me a hard time. Finally before my turn, he pulls into the next lane at the red light, stares my car down, and looks at me and says:
"Is that a 281?"
me: "uh, yeah it is"
him: "rev it again?"
Me: *puzzled look saying to myself "is this some kind of trick"*
So I rev it to about 2500
him: "wooo, sounds sweet, I had a 68 back in the day. be careful son, and enjoy it"
me: "thanks officer"
After ****ting my pants, I proceeded to make my turn
