Playing around at Edmonds.com this what their views are on colors by dollar values. Just though I pass it along, not that they are the final word on the subject.

Red/ + $105

Yellow/ + $100

Silver/ + $85

Black/ + $51

Dark Red/ - $49

Gray/ - $54

Light Green/ - $56

White/ - $58

Light Blue/ - $73

Dark Blue/ - $73

Edit: The colors Yellow and White were too hard to read, so I changed them to black.

Hm... I think that's kind of off...Silver, Black, White and dark blue of all colors should be OWNING the top of the list... Ive seen a lot of Sonic Blue's (go baby go!) being searched for... Edmund's assumes all Mustang drivers want crazy colors like red and yellow...wait till the ACTUAL resale of our babies begins.

In any event it's not much of a diference no matter what color it is so just go with what you like.

Red has been the prime sports car color for years, and yellow right on it's tail.

First off, the numbers vary depending on where you live so they will be different for everyone. Including which colors increase the most and least.

I checked black, and there is no increase whereas my white is + $72. In your region, a black car brings $7 more.

They are not only basing their numbers on what region you're in, but the colors are a generic estimate. It says if you have a dark green '05 Mustang it deducts $117. In reality that would add thousands.

A lot of the color preferences people REALLY have are diferent for an '05 Mustang compared to any other car. .

Interesting info, like some have said, I wouldn't set it in stone. I don't think that black would be too desireable in Phoenix or a place like that. I know I love it though!

What will happen in three or four years, once the production catches up to the demand? If long-term quality becomes an issue, then, of course, value will drop. I want an '07 GT but am wondering what an '05 GT will cost in October of 2006.

All of us need to baby our Mustangs and keep them in top notch shape -
at least we can get top dollor when we sell.

That is a bit silly. When you think of the percentage of $50-$100 on a $20k-$30k car, that's like me finding a dollar bill on the sidewalk. Ohhh, +$1 there. Gimme a break.
