Fortunately not by a car like surfn, but by some f@$kin road debris on the freeway . I never really saw it, just heard the awful sound . Happened northbound on the 55, right before the construction zone. It almost sounded like a pile of dirt/rocks. Because the SS bumper is only about 3” off the ground, the bumper bent back on impact and cracked the paint on the lower lip portion. Luckily the bumper is made of urethane so it retained its shape. It just sucks because there is no way I can afford to fix this (other than touch-up paint) for a while . Pics to follow tomorrow ……

How much are you being quoted to fix it? I had a similar thing happen to my SS front bumper when I let my dad drive it and he drove it right into a sidewalk when parking. It wasn't pretty. It cost a total of $350 for them to completely repaint the fascia.

Let me know if you need a recommendation for a shop, I know a couple in the OC and east LA county area.

Consider yourself lucky if it was just the bumper. I just got through an experience with Road Debris, and it was a 2100.00 + job for me. Sorry to hear about that man.

Sorry to hear about front front bumper, but it sounds like it is fixable and can wait until you can aford it. It still hurts when you have to divert funds to repair damage caused by the careless of someone else.

We've had major damage to 3 cars in our family by shopping carts. I always park uphill and next to a curb to reduce my chaces of being hit by one.

My sonic blue GT and I were rear-ended on Monday night on my way home from the chiropractor no less (how ironic). I was stopped at a red getting ready to turn right, foot on brake, then WHAM.....20 yr old (who just got insured 2 days prior)and his buddies in his Dad's 99 Isuzu Rodeo nailed me at about 20. He told me he was admiring my car, he told the cop he locked up his brakes.

So now my bumper doesn't look ALL that bad. It is obvious that the entire bumper valence (or what ever you call it) will need to be replaced. They seriously crumpled my license plate and frame too. The bumper section is still attached to the car but is a little off. It is scratched all to heck with the crumpled license plate and a hole in the plastic below the plate.

He hit me very square so I figure that is why the damage doesn't look too bad. I am wondering what damage there is to the understructure. I had a cop take an accident report cuz all the kid kept saying after the accident is DUDE, IT ISN'T SO BAD YOU JUST NEED A NEW LICENSE PLATE. The DUDE pissed me off then was made worse after I had to explain that this is a NEW car and it isn't new anymore.

Anyone have rear bumper damage? What happened and how much?

Sorry to hear about your car, really like it with the body kit on, it really doesnt look so bad.

Stoenr, I was rearended last July. Some guy in a pickup going about 50 slammed into the car behind me pushing that car into mine twice. Cuz after he pushed the car behind me he slammed into it again to come to a stop. My left muffler was hanging, trunk pushed down with no signs of damage to trunk lid, rear bumper hanging slightly on the ground and no license plate left on the bumper. After two months of repairs and waiting it was close to $6000 in damages. The whole rear floor of the trunk had to be replaced cuz its attached to nothing except the sides of the car and sits right behind the rear bumper so that was crumpled when the repair shop got to it.

Hopefully everyone's cars stay intact-too many getting damaged, and those that are return to perfect condition.
