notchy shifting?
The shifting in my new 07 is as smooth as butter. If the revs dropped a little faster when releasing the throttle, it would be about as perfect as can be.
Someone told me that the shifter is different on the new cars. Has anyone else heard that?

i have the same problem. Complained to the dealer. Of course they said it is normal. I remember someone saying that some of the mustangs had air in the brake line which caused the throw out bearing not to fully engage. I have not tried this yet but ya might want to bleed the brake line for a start
It's kind of a shame Ford hasn't caught up to what Chevy had in '98. Those T56's shift like butter and that LS1 had an underrated 305 hp back then. I had to drive the ex's '02 GT the other day and the "drop in" shifter felt like heaven compared to my '06.
