For over 3 weeks (even yesterday) I heard "As of 3/10, build week 4/4," as of 3/10, as of 3/10, etc. Today she says... "AS OF APRIL 8TH LOCKED IN TO PRODUCTION AND SCHEDULED TO BE BUILT THE WEEK OF APRIL 4TH!"

I thought AS OF mean't "currently" but maybe not.

I'm glad to hear it but does anyone know if "locked-in" dates are usually at the end of the "build week" date?

How long it may be before it's on the rail or highway?

mine was locked in for production the friday before the build week then on monday it changed back to as of blah blah your unit is schediled to be built week of... mine was built on the monday and shipped on tuesday and arrived a week and a half later

 

Yep. On March 10th, mine said "As of March 10th your unit has been serialized." On the March 11th, it said "As of March 10th your unit has been serialized and is scheduled to be built the week of March 28th." Then on the 15th it said "As of April 2nd your unit is locked in and is scheduled to be built the week of March 28th."

Then this week (the week of March 28th) I lost the "locked in" part. Unfortunately as of April 3rd I still have not gotten a "bucked" or "built" message. It still says "As of April 2nd your unit is scheduled to be built the week of March 28th."

I wish I was 94tbird.

 

When I called the robot lady this morning she said that as of April 4 your vehicle is scheduled for production week of April 4. This is the same message I have been getting since Tuesday March 29. But when I called on Monday March 28 She said I was Locked in for production week of April 4 I also talked to customer service on Friday and they told me it was to be built between April4 and the 11 and would be delivered between April13 and the 20th. I am hoping that tomorrow is the day.

 

Well I sure hope locked in means exactly that. If not, wadda we gonna do? wait some more? hahaha

Cool Dustin. My dealer said they try to build they same (or similar) cars all in the the same build week so maybe that's how some get pushed around with short notice. Which makes sense... 5-speed autos GT's, IUP's, shakers, side air bags, etc. all grouped together and made the same week. Then the following week all V-6's, sticks, fabric, no shakers.

But does that fit yours (other than color), is yours fully loaded? I went with every upgrade except red leather and the shaker 1000... you?

 

Every option except wheel locks, side airbags and Shaker 1000. You can build your own aftermarket shaker 1000 for less than half the price of factory. In the future I may put in a single 12" sub if I need to add some spice to the car. I heard the Shaker 500 and I'm happy with it. I'm not crazy about a ton of bass in the car, but a little is just right. I don't want side airbags because I have then in my accord and I can feel them in the seat over time and it annoys the crap out of me.

Well mine said build week of feb 7th, but it was built on the 5th. So its just a general timeline is my guess. I got mine basically a month after being built. Rail cars were said to be the blame, for it taking so long after built. Good luck on getting it soon.

I'm locked in as well. I ordered everything but the auto tranny and the machined wheels. Got the shaker 1000, can't wait to hear it.

 

Cool Joe! Maybe they just build auto-GT's one week (regardless of options) because that's our only common thread among us (so far). Maybe they build stick Gt's another week and V-6's another, etc.

 

let's all cross our fingers that we don't get any kind of delivery delays like the railcar issue

What kind of financing are you all getting? I got 4.5% for 60. I got the car for $25000 and will be putting 500 down.

 

That's a good rate! is $25000 everything? tax,title,delivery,etc?

I'm on x-plan which helps but at a higher interest rate... but hope to knock it down some with my tax return.

Oddly enough..I have no idea what I will be paying. The dealer and I haven't even talked money. I figure I'll get it around invoice.

 

I got sheduled, then locked, then scheduled again, then shipped by convoy, then shipped by rail as of three different dates. and then it was lost, and then it showed up. It took 1 month for transportation from time of build to Arizona. I get to pick it up tomorrow at 3.

that's weird man... how'd ya find out it was lost? are you sure someone just didn't do their job and figured the only excuse that might work is "we lost your stang?"
