I believe you can buy a headlight unit for around $100.

Not sure if you can just buy lens though.

Are they too deep to polish out? If they're not too deep, you might try that.

That stinks!!! Some friggin people. Look at the bright side...much easier and cheaper to replace the plastic lens then if they would have keyed the paint somewhere. I feel for you.

If you look on ebay, there are quite a few headlight housings up there.

as others said, at least it isn't the paint that was keyed.

Man, there sure are some donkies named jack out there.

Like the one who PUNCHED my car right beside the antenna. Actual fistmark there. God I'd love to have caught him/her.

So sorry to hear that, makes me hate the idea of mine becoming a daily driver. I am sure you will find a affordable solution.

That really stinks, but you know, stuff happens anyway.

I've been taking really good care of my GT since I took delivery in May (the Wife teases me about finally washing my car - hey, my other one is a Jeep!), but a few weeks back I was driving to work on the interstate, and a car in the lane next to me about two lengths ahead kicked up a golfball-sized rock, which danced off the top edge of my front fender and hit my port side A-pillar. Both strikes left small dents down to the metal.

So it doesn't matter. Sometimes I think God drives a Camaro....... :bang:

It almost looks like something was dragged scarped across the front like a cart, or something similiar.

Guess it could be keys, hard to tell from a stamp sized picture.

Either way, a S197 Mod should probably just merge this in, as its still the same topc.

Mine wasn't golf ball-sized but I got my first ding the exact same way. Not down to the metal but a dent nonetheless and about an inch and a half long.

But it wasn't a truck with an unsecured load or someone throwing it at my car. Part of the price of it being a daily driver. And I wouldn't want to drive anything else.

Have you tried to polish them out? Even if the marks can be felt with your finger, you'd be suprised what Meguiar's plastic cleaner and plastic polish can do to improve the looks. I was able to make a set of rear taillight lenses in a 95 GT look like new. All the roughness on the plastic you couldn't even see through polished right off. I thought they would have to be replaced. It is worth a shot.

You might want to try filling the scratches with clear nail polish, and then polish them flat after it dries...
