Question Normal? Dash lights on when headlights off?

I just noticed that my guages are lit up whenever the car is on and headlights off. Just lit white as opposed to the MyColor when the headlights are on. Is this normal?

I think they are on all the time when the car is on to overcome the dark tunnels Ford made to house the guages. It is a nice set-up though!

Those back-lights almost got me into trouble one night! I was pulling out from blockbuster onto a very well lit major roadway. The dash was so well lit I never thought about not having my lights on. I saw a cop about 300 yards ahead and the random thought "are my lights on?" popped into my head. I realized they weren't so I saw an side road coming up so I took that before the cops could bust me.

Yes, that is the normal setup. But, I never noticed it until I got the white gauge faces in. Maybe I started to pay more attention to the gauges when the new faces were in.

The other one that floored me was that I never noticed the little running ponies embossed into the underhood mat. Took me a year and a half to finally notice them.

Without my color I think its green isnt it? then white when you turn them on? I cant remember when i had a rental.

It's white all the time and green when you turn on the headlamps.
I didn't get the IUP and don't have any regrets. I love the black GT500 styled upper dash.

I've forgotten to turn my lights on a couple of times. I have My Color set to red, but since I switch back and forth between driving the '06 and the '98, when I see the dash lit up, I assume I have my lights on. The roads around here are pretty well lit, so I don't think of it until someone flashes me. I drove about three miles the first time and about a half mile the second.
