Occasionally when I shift from 3rd to 2nd and compression brake, I get a metallic scraping/grinding noise coming from the front of the vehicle. It's an 05 GT manual. I tried to show the service guys, but couldn't duplicate the sound. Has anybody else had this problem, what was it? It really doesn't sound like the ABS, it's more of a scraping sound than a mechanical sound. Any ideas?

Depending on your speed, it may be your clutch slipping.

I haven't been forcing the rev's too high on downshift, maybe as high as 5000. But wouldn't the clutch be slipping on takeoff as well? It sounds very unhealthy...but sporadically.
