No 05+ roll bar after attending several shows

I have attented several Mustang shows as of late with the hope of finding a company that makes a decent 4 point roll bar. To no avail! Style bars everywhere. I have said no to autopower based on the intrusion. A local shop will fabricate and install one for $800.

Would some sponsor look into this?

it should work on a vert

EDIT: it will work with a vert but in no way is it a 4-point, the dang thing is a 6-point with a solid rear bar so that means no passangers lol here is the link

Passengers? Why not? It'll work just like those safety bars at the amusement park. Please keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times!!

Rollbar will negate the use of the backseats.
You don't want someone planting their face on your main hoop in an accident.

Perhaps my sarcasm didn't come through.

Ok, this is what I am looking for in a 4 pt. roll bar.

1. Full seat recline and adjustment. It appears that both the apex and the custom bar doesnt allow the seat to recline back.
2. Retain the back seat. The down bars would need to go thru plastic trim panels, beside the rear seat, not thru them.
3. Regulation foam padding. I can't see hitting my head on cold steel in a daily drive accident.
4. Cost under $1k.

Thanks.

Well, I hate to tell you, but I think if you want to have the seat able to recline, you'll have to give up the rear seats, if you need the bar around the back. I wouldnt want to cut through the plastic panels, unless you can get some grommets or something.

Florence, SC! I used to live off Pamplico Hwy, past the Hospital.
If you are looking to buy, I have my vehicle in the vehicles for sale section.

well if you are looking for something that custom just give Corey and Heath a call at Agent 47760-496-3809, they can most likely build you something custom, but based on some of the specs you have stated I dont think it would be very functional especially if youd like to have a race harness because for those to work safely you need to have the bar high and close to the back of the seat so it stops you without breaking your neck and/or back.

heres a pic of one they put in an 04 cobra vert:

We mounted my rear braces in the corner of the rear seats (see pic). Required slight trimming of the rear seat bottom in the corner. Rear plastic trim did not need trimming.

Why do you want to spend 1000 on a non-legal rollbar?
The rollbar is worthless without a harness also. So if you eliminate the center harness bar as you plan to, you will have nowhere to mount the harness.

Also nobody makes a rollbar as youve specd it. So you would need this to be a custom rollbar. Prices range from 200-300 per point for custom rollbars.

UberPony,

I do need a legal bar for VIR and CMS, two area road courses.
They require 4pt. harness for any 'verts.
Even a roadcourse is planned to be build on the lake I live on.

You setup looks exceptional for a rollbar.
The rear braces are perfect.
They fit the corner of the seats well.
I would want someting similar done.
The hoop part of the bar looks great also.
I would want something similar there also.
But the harness bar looks to be too close to the seatback for my application.
As a daily driver, my seatback is recliner further, to where it almost touches the rear seat.
During autocross events I have it more upright, but past where your harness bar is.
I suppose saving up and sticking to the local shop would be best.
That way I could sit in the vehicle and make the measurement around me.
I would like to sit in a car once with a bar installed to get the seat feel.
Thanks for the pictures.
