Well, after reading all of the posts & seeing the new Mustang I have decided that I will not be getting one. I think it was Dustindu4's post with the great pics and details of the '05 that finally convinced me that it would not be the right car for me. I have a long-legged teenage daughter that would be absolutely miserable in the back seat of the Stang. Don't get me wrong - I love the new Stang & I think they are going to be absolutely awesome. But, it just won't be very practical for my family.

I had to get rid of my Dodge Dakota - so I got me a new ride on Memorial Day. I'm very glad to be an all Ford family once again. Now, we have 2 black trucks to have to keep clean.

I love my new ride & I'll keep lurking on this site & can't wait to see everyone's new Stangs when they FINALLY come out!!

Piled? True, and we did a lot more than that....

I'll never forget a pair of long legs emerging from a the back seat of a light blue Mustang at the train station in Tokyo in 1965, but that's another story... B)

Um, pardon my ignorance, but why do you need two trucks? Is it for work? Otherwise a car would be nice.

When I was a teenager the family car was a Mustang GT. I had to ride in the back many, many times and I was 6ft 200-220lbs. It was cramped as heck but I would've rather been uncomfortable in a cool car than comfortable in some lame grocery-go-getter.

I'm 20 and I'm buying my first new car and it'll be the 05 GT!

It'll also be my very first stang, so you know I'm hyped up for it!

I've loved mustangs for years, but my mom only used vans, so I rode my little bicycles! (Thinks of the Queen song "Bicycle")

This car will be my baby. I'm spending the least I can and getting the most for it. I want leather and the Shaker 500. Anything else I'll get aftermarket, like the Ram Air, and exhaust (if needed).

Well - if you would notice - one of our trucks is a Lightning. It's a regular cab truck - and also my husband's toy. He shows it & has won first place in the shows he's entered it in - so we don't typically haul anything in the Lightning except azz.

This truck is mine. It's got A LOT of room inside & it has a tonneau to haul around anything I need to. And it is totally loaded!!

And, no we don't NEED 2 trucks - but, hey this is Texas - you're supposed to drive a truck. lol

I don't exactly consider this a "lame" grocery getter. I don't think anyone would consider a 5.4L V8 Supercharged fully loaded truck "lame".

I know that feeling: I live up in the Adirondacks. When pickups die, they don't go to heaven, they come here, where some woodchuck will plop it outside his home/trailer, maybe fix it, maybe just let it rust... at least one in three vehicles on the road is a pickup. It's a huge difference compared to long island, where I go to school, where seeing a pickup is a rare event. Just as an example, my uncle owns three pickup trucks (A GM and a Dodge from the 80's and a 99 Ranger.) It's not only a texas thing, it's a redneck thing, too.

MeanStang... have you seen the pics of the back seat? Man, a midget would be cramped back there. But like everyone knows... the backseat ain't meant to be used... it's meant to hide what's in the trunk. I am thinking about taking mine out and putting them in the attic to get it a little lighter anyways.

acadian - thats with the front seats fully back.. and its the same amount of room back there compared to a current mustang.. and id leave the seats in only cuz i feel like it would look naked without them..

True, about the seats being back... but most adults are going to have the seats close to all the way back, especially a guy. I guess there is some room back there. And would look naked without 'em... might have to rethink that one...
