Newby suspension question
When I say new I really mean it. Not only new to the forum but looking at purchasing my first mustang too!
Looking at an 07 V6 for some midlife (really late life) fun. I’m pretty well mechanically inclined coming from the off road world. One concern I have with most muscle cars is the deep desire to “LOWER” the ride height. Here in Louisiana and the roads I travel in my daily 1 hour commute would eat up a front fascia eventually. I would actually look to mildly lift or “LEVEL” the front end more like a rally car which is really the look I admire with driving lights.
Any thoughts?

Install V8 front springs. This would level the car pretty much.
Also, at that point you can do some beefier tires

Or post as a wanted item on Craig's list. I know I have a few parts that I have posted for sale and gotten no bites. Almost was giving them away. Not springs, but I am sure they are out there.

Thanks for the great info, sensible but budget friendly solutions always appeal. Would it stand to reason then that with the v8 spring solution that you would use the same V8 strut part numbers if you were replacing or upgrading the struts?

yes, and that raises a consideration that I didn't think of before: the ride might be a bit bouncy with the GT springs and V6 struts, because the spring rate is higher on the GT springs, so they probably need struts with a bit more damping to keep them under control . . . and GT struts are available as take-offs also. I am pretty sure that all of the S197 suspension components are interchangeable, but not positive.
