Hi all,

Quick backstory: I ordered my new 2005 GT on 3/19/05 and the order was officially entered into the system the following Thursday, which was 3/24/05. While I was waiting I started surfing the web for all of the info I could find, which brought me to this site (tons of great info on this site, btw). The other day, after seeing pics of a GT with all of the same options as the one I ordered (MG, IUP, Dk Charcoal, etc.) except with the spoiler delete option, I realized I had made a tragic mistake...now I want the spoiler delete option. So, I call my salesman and leave him a voice mail asking if I can change it. He calls me back the next day (today actually) and leaves me a voice mail saying it's too late to change the order because it has been "bucked" (at least I'm pretty sure he said "bucked") but didn't say much else and now I can't get a hold of him (God, I hate phone tag).

So I turn to you guys. Is this a commonly used term? I've heard of "C/U", "Locked for Production", "Scheduled", and "Serialized", but this is the first I've heard the term "bucked". I'm guessing that since he said that it's too late to make changes, that at least "bucked" must be a good thing...right?

EDIT: Nevermind gang, had I searched a little harder I would have found the answer

It means they have started building your car.

Yeah, after doing a bit of searching (should have done that in the first place), I figured it out. I'm sooo excited. Looks like the 6-8 week wait my salesman originally quoted me will turn out to be true

Go ahead and take the car you ordered, with the spoiler, then post a note here on the site that you want to swap trunk lids with someone who has the same color car but no spoiler. You'll likely get a taker.
