New website for our cars
Was tired of dealing with cardomain and having separate pages for each car, so I decided to throw together my own page. It's been a few years since I've messed around with HTML and such, but let me know what you think and sign the guestbook. I tried to include a lot. I've got mod lists, picture galleries, videos, and a guestbook, along with links to my favorite vendors and websites. I plan on doing timeslips and such next spring when there's more of them.

Thanks guys. Original plans were to drop a 302 Cammer in the Cobra II, but that was when I had my Magnum as my daily driver. Now that I have the '07, my thirst for a V8 is quenched. So I think I'll be keeping the 2.3L in it. Plans are to gut the car, repaint in white pearl with metallic red stripes, and rebuild the 2.3L while adding a turbo charger.
That's the plan. We'll see what happens. I'm sure it's a few years away from completion.
pretty impressive! How'd you tie in the Flash? was that a template or did you code that yourself? I'm looking to do something similar for a site for my Bullitt...

Thanks. I haven't messed with HTML or Flash for 3-4 years... I found a plug-in that you use with picasa (which I never use and had to download just to make the album but after searching for flash galleries, this one fit my needs best). I'm going to download flash this week and see if I can modify the flash file to change the background and get rid of the logo. Then I'll re-teach myself flash and make my own.
Here's where I got the template. They have a few different ones.

What does everyone think about the background? I had it black, but someone said it was too plain and hurt their eyes when they switched back to a site with a white background, so I came up with that. Should I keep it, change back to black, or come up with something different (if so, ideas?)?

i'll have to bookmark that site, that's pretty good stuff!
I got a copy of Flash MX studio from work and played around with it a bit, especially when I was deployed last year. I found a site that had a bunch of free flash templates and I just stuck with one and kept at it until I had it where i wanted it. then, just like it always goes, I chose to go another route with the site I was working on, lol.
I like your background. It's simple and effective; not too boring and not too flashy at the same time.

Thanks a lot. It's been years since I've messed with flash. I was thinking about it. It's probably been 6-70 years. I'm sure things have changed a bit. But I'll just have to check it out. I'm sure I'll pick it back up. I noticed you don't need all the picture files to be part of the SWF anymore, making it load a lot quicker. So it'll be interesting. Maybe with a little practice I can make the whole site flash.

I don't believe so. The lack of cats probably evens it out. On my '07 I have all the same mods, except h pipe (which makes a bit less than X), but it has CMDP's, and on the same dyno, the '05 has 3HP more. If we assume CMDP's make 5, that makes an approx 8HP difference between the exhaust on the '05 and '07, in favor of the '05. But that could be a few off because at the time I was running Brenspeed on the 07 and Bamachips on the 05. But should be pretty close.
Very nice! I wanted to do the same type of thing. I started collecting the pics and creating backgrounds and stuff like that but never take the time to finish it up. One of the things I wanted to do was have it so when you clicked on 1 of the cars in the garage it took you to a page just for that car. A little fancier yet, I was thinking of having the mouse-over the car in the garage move the car out, make it larger or turn it sideways or something, possibly even an exhaust clip for each when you mouse-over. Of course I don't know how to do any of that but I learn quick, even for an old dog. -Joe
