My thoughts exactly. They basically threw on some parts laying around the factory and had Shelby sign off on it. Half a$$ed on Ford and Shelby's part.

I think he meant your pics weren't groundbreaking, not the Shelby.

And so what if they took some parts laying around and created this car. They made a better performing Mustang in a very short span of time. Kudos to them IMO.

Tell me how you really feel. I'm sorry I didn't know there was prerequisites to posting pics on this site. It's a Mustang car show what did you expect to see?? I'm glad you like the Shelby GT and are willing to pay the extra money just to have a car that's signed by another MAN. There's no other reason to pay at the very least an extra 5,000 dollars over GT price when you can get all the parts on the Shelby GT installed for less and probably have a faster car and money left over.

What's your problem? I was just explaining OdiousBarbarian's comment which you apparantely misconstrued. I never said you shouldn't post your pics. Get a freakin' grip!

I like it, not as much as I like the standard GT, but it looks cool nonetheless...

Well take a base GT and add the following;

1. Power pack
2. Handling pack
3. Stripes
4. Grille
5. Fascia
6. Shelby badging
7. Ford backed warranty

It's simple and weather you like the guy or not it's a Shelby which will make it a collectable. If I had known about this in 05 I would have waited and bought one of these.

Different strokes for different folks. Some people car about things like that other's don't. Myself I could care less that it's a collectible and signed by Carrol Shelby. I'd rather take a regular gt and make it the one and only Leo Special edition.

That's what's so great about Mustangs. If you want something like a Shelby, you can get it. Otherwise, you can also do what you're saying. Or if V8 performance isn't important to you, you can get the V6. It's all about having choices.

Well, then I stand corrected. I thought since we'd seen plenty of pics of the Shelby that you were saying there was nothing new in them. My apologies to both of you.

Without a hefty dealer markup, which is sure to happen, I'd buy it. It's got most of what I want done on my car with the exclusion of a couple things and it's a Shelby. YMMV.

Anyway, here is a plethora of pics that I took. Starting off with TacoBill's awesome car. A very nice car. I hope you did well in the judging.

I used to see this car on my commute from La Habra to Signal Hill everyday. Original body and paint and motor. The only changes are to the chassis for safety.

That is cool about getting a factory warranty with all the FRPP stuff. But I feel like this car is a poser vehicle. It says "Shelby" and looks all badass, but it really isnt the genuine article IMHO. The parts they put on it are nice, I would put the same parts on a GT if I had one (which I plan to). But there is nothing unique on it designed and built by Shelby. Sure there are floormats and stuff like that, but c'mon.

Nice meeting you today, habu!

It must have been Leo's and your good karma!

We pulled off 2ND PLACE!!

There were 8 (me included) in my Modified 05/06 Fastback Class. Another fellow Torch Red beat me out of First, must have been the Kenny Bell S/C.

I won't post anymore pics as you guys pretty much covered all the highlights... except for these 3 gems.
