Hey Guys, got a new scoop for you on the new 2005 Ford Mustang. Each Ford dealer in the U.S. is allocated or allowed to have 2 2005 Ford Mustangs 1 month prior to when the Mustangs are going to be on the show room floor. The Mustangs will not be on the showroom floors till the second week in October. However, the 2 Mustangs that each ford dealer is allowed to have will be at their lot last week of August/First week of September. You may think that it will cost a little bit more money to have one of the two cars but that is def not true. If you have a good friend or aquaintance at a Ford Dealer, I would suggest talkin to him about getting one of the two mustang coming out early. If you are selected to be one of the two, you are able to choose whatever you want for your Mustang. I am one of the two at my Ford Dealer ship to get one of the cars 1 month early, (took a lot of kissing hiney) but there are a lot of pre-orders for the car so its going to be very hot and a long wait for the car. This came from the guy who is giving me the car plus a representative that I spoke to at the Ford Factory where they are building the new mustangs. So like I said before, the price will be the same, starting from $18-$28,000 based upon what u get. So if you want that mustang early, go to your dealer and talk about getting one of the two mustangs coming 1 month early, and if they over price you, they tell them to go to heck.

Job 1 is still Sept 7th? Even if they do get cars early, they would be pre-production.

Are you sure they will be on lots, or that they are just alotted two mustangs to order after Job 1 for the first batch?

I just phoned my local dealer, and he told me he isn't expected his 05's to arrive until October 7th. Then another batch 2 weeks later. He told me again, that every dealership should have an 05 by November first.

This is the same info he told me 3 weeks ago. I asked what day Job 1 starts, and he said none of his info changed, and it's still 9/7.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Innovation Drive lets you drive the 500, Freestyle and Super Duty.

The Mustang will be there, but not for driving.

This is how the Drive in Chicago works anyhow.

kevinb120, could you confirm if there's a Texas ride and drive at Alliance this Thursday, the 22nd for the local dealers here?

My local dealer said he was going to one and that the Mustang would be part of it. Just wanna see if he's being upfront or not. Thanks.

I went to the Ford Innovation Drive in Phoenix on the 18th. We were allowed to drive the Freestyle, the 500 and the Super Duty. On display they had the Windveil blue GT (It was sweeeeeeeet), the Ford GT, and the Escape Hybrid. They were mainly pushing the Freesytle, 500 and Super Duty though.

There was a Texas Ride and Drive on Thursday Jul 22nd in the parking lot at the Texas Motor Speedway, which was a ride-and-drive and training seminar, they had the 500/Freestar and 2005 SuperDuty. They did have the Mustangs there but were not for driving. Static display only. This was a Training session for Dealership employee's attendees were allowed to examine the 2005 Mustangs and even sit in it. Photos were not allowed.

I thought this was sort of funny. If you happen to visit the Ford Innovation Drive site without the latest version of the Macromedia Flash player, you get redirected to http://fordinnovationdrive.com/upgrade_flash.htm, but the title of the page is "MACK'S Ear Care, Hearing Protection, and Sleeping Aids". And the HTML meta tags relate to McKeon Products. It looks like someone has been doing some copy-and-paste coding.
