New owner of 05 mustang GT

So I recently purchased a 05 mustang GT. Has a Saleen Super charger and gauge meters. I’m new to superchargers and was wondering what all should I have and need for the car to run at it’s peak and maintain the vehicles engine. I want to take care of this car but don’t know much about super chargers , starting to wonder if I made a bad choice or not 🤔 I know that a supercharger is basically two screws thst compress more air into the engine, causing more fuel to Be burned at a faster rate but also can promote too much heat. or maybe Im completely wrong. Anyone care to share their knowledge ?

From one Saleen S/C Mustang owner to another! The first and most important, is make certain your vehicle has the right calibration tune along with the programming/tuning device, such as an SCT or Diablosport hand-held programming device from the previous owner. However, if the previous owner did NOT include the hand held programmer/tuning device? Then I highly recommend that you contact the previous owner, if your able to do so and make arrangements to give it you, as it should be included with the vehicle. Otherwise, your going to need to have your car checked on a dyno by whomever has a custom tuning shop in your local area to verify that your calibration tune is safe and that your parameters such as spark/timing and air/fuel ratios are within recommended spec levels. That being said, it's also very important that you have access to the vehicle's history, such as past service invoices and all modification work done to the vehicle by the previous owners before you ever purchase a modified vehicle from somebody that you do not know. For what it's worth, good luck and welcome to TMS.

check out "Department of Boost" web site for some basics about superchargers
https://www.departmentofboost.com/

yes it does basically shove more air/fuel mix into the engine which increases the power output dramatically; that is probably a pretty hot setup you got there . . . and yes this does generate more heat, which needs to be removed by the "intercooler" . . . if everything is working correctly then there should be no issue with overheating; but you need to make sure everything is working correctly

dyno tune is usually the "best" but remote tuning using datalogging is another option -- "Lito" is known for being very good on these cars, including supercharged, can be contacted at support@tudyno.com

maybe the first thing it needs is a good cleaning, so it looks more like m05's ! :-)
