Was over at parents house yesterday, and Mom asked me if I'd seen the new Mustang Commercial. My GF said she also saw it. A red mustang gt coupe, getting on it, and the announcers' words....'start your mid-life crisis early'. Hope to see it soon......

I have been able to get all of the older commercials together over the past several days, and have them on my website. I do not have this newest one yet, however.

If someone could tell me what show or type of programming they were watching when they saw the new commercial air, I will set up my Tivo and try to capture it and post it to my website. I know one guy said he was watching Fox Sports i think.

Here's a link to my site with the other commercials.

I saw that commercial last May in Phoenix, but never here in the St. Louis area. Lots of cool shots of the GT sliding sideways, then one word at a time - Start...your....mid-life....crisis....early. Then it cuts away to an ad - "See your Arizona Ford dealer today". Haven't seen it since then.

Seen that commercial at least 5 times a week lately. At the end of it, it says Built for California. I thought they just showed it in CA but I guess they just change the last 5 seconds for that region.

The commercial must be really cool. TIVO sounds like a good idea. However, taking the tagline out of the commercial context, does Ford expect a statement like 'start your midlife crises early' applied to the Mustang GT to cause a rush of 25 -- 35 y/o guys to run down to their local Ford Emporium and buy one? C'mon. I think most guys would DREAD thinking about a midlife crisis. Makes me glad I bought my 05 V6 -- and YES, I'm too young to have a midlife crises & would not want to '...start one early...'

The Canadian version says "Ricers are Lame, Buy a Ford" at the end.

Anybody else have that in their region?

Now THAT is the tagline they should stick with, even for the US commercials!!! Why do the Canadians get the normal/healthy taglines but the US commercials are for folks with '...issues.." ??? Ricers ARE lame IMHO and thats WHY I bought my 'stang. Anybody 2 -- 200 years old can relate to that -- not just the midlife crisis crowd. Hopefully they re-edit the US commercial with a catchier tagline soon. The commercial sounds too good to have a lousy US tagline.

Haven't lived in Ottawa long enough to know dat one you know...heheh..

Not everyone knows what a ricer is...Ford (and many of the other manufacturers) have to assume their audience is stupid and needs to be persuaded.
