I also have NO speeding tickets. I want to know what a 16 year old male with a brand new Mustang GT costs on insurance.
Ive had my GT for 3 days, Turning 18 on the 28th of this month and pay 463/6 months. Wouldeve been cheaper if i had side airbags and alarm on it.

You got it made Roley!

I guess there is a difference between you now and me at 17.

I had to pay for my Mach myself. Car payment, Insurance, and all maintanence plus payback to my Dad for the first crash.

I worked at a movie theater for $2.90 an hour (40 hrs during school and 65 hrs during summer)..there was not much money left for gas (but it was only a dollar a gallon then). That is why the second of the two crash pictures happened. I didn't have money to buy new tires when the first ones were bald from street and strip racing ...

fast mustangs with bald tires on wet highway do not preform well...

Now I still have money problems, but at least I can afford new tires...

Now, is that $100 what your parents are telling you your share is? Cuz a 16 year old male with this car is a insurance bonanza for your rep. Heck, I paid more than $100 on my first car and that was a crappy 84 Dodge Daytona with a four banger.

Wonder which it is? I pay $70/month, liability only, on a '90 LX (2.3L 4 cyl) for my 17 y/o daughter and her gpa is 3.98 and has the safe driver discount.

The vehicle insurance policy is in her name on the GT and she is primary vehicle driver. Roley is an "additional driver" would be my guess. My folks had to do the same thing for me on my stang when I was a kid after my two accidents... I know it used to be that the "kid" was "driving" in the oldest, slowest car on the policy...not sure how that works these days. I do know that my liability went to over $1000 a year after my second accident.

All I will add is simply "use the intelligence God has given you, and not emotion". Remember as fast as you may think you are 1. there will always be someone faster, and nine out ten times it's the PD. Don't disappoint your Mom by making her regret this happy occassion. Good Luck to you and with your new car. Stay Safe, and keep others around you Safe. God Bless, and Good Luck.

the difference is likely your daughter is insured for a specific vehicle where he is still listed as a named driver only on mommys policy.

im sure you could also up your deductables to idiotic amounts to get cheaper insurance also.
