Technology will pass down the line. Today the KR will get something special. In a few years, you will see some of that technology on the other SEs and eventually the GTs.

These special cars bring attention to the Mustang line. It keeps interest up as well as sales. These special cars are a good thing. They would not be unattainable if Ford could control the pricing and not let the dealers have a hay day with them. Then again, the consumers are the boneheads that are willing to pay the premiums. If we would stop paying ADMs, they would go away.

It takes two to tangle: the dealer for running amok with the ADMs, and the consumer for paying it. Actually, some of the blame should be leveled at Ford corporate, too, for not imposing stricter criteria upon what its dealer network can and cannot do - so call it a perfect trifecta.

I posted a week or so ago, that my company polished and buffed the GT500KR Rims. I am really pleased with the design Alcoa created. But....Alcoa didn't want our High Luster finish.

They wanted the wheels semi-dull, and they took them to get Dura-brighted which is a process to coat truck wheels.

So, if the wheels look dull and are full of orange peel. It wasn't because of us!!

Car and Driver has an article up about the new KR complete with pics. Whether they truly reflect the actual vehicle remains to be seen, however.

It was the GT-H convertible that sold at Barrett-Jackson, no KR.
