If you can live without the MYColor portion, this may be the way to go. Got this nessage from my factory rep today.

Mustang Interior Sport Appearance Package Launched
To help address the demand for optional interior packages on Mustang, the following new package will be available to order on Mustang GT and/or V6 effective with December production (week 45):

18R - Interior Sport Appearance Package ($195 MSRP). This new interior package includes leather wrapped steering wheel with satin-aluminum spokes and either a satin-aluminum shifter (automatic) or leather wrapped shift **** (manual).

Please try to order the NEW Interior Sport Appearance package on all GTs that do not have the Interior Upgrade Package (IUP). There are not enough IUPs to cover all GTs; the Interior Sport Appearance Package is the next best thing. Dealers ordering GT Mustangs without either the IUP or the new Sport Interior Appearance package will receive a message in CONCEPS stating that they should consider adding one of the packages.

No kidding, that's the only reason I am getting the IUP.

The info-mercial I recently saw in Canada showed a GT with the my colour option and the leather wrapped steering wheel but the dash did not have the aluminum trim and did have chrome vents..... Instead of aluminum trim it was just black plastic.

This came as part of our daily e-mail update. I have checked Ford's dealer site for an updated order guide with all the specifics but it hasn't been updated yet. As soon as it is, I'll make it available.

If you guys and gals aren't in a rush for delivery I believe that the IUPs will be available. The initial rush for the new stang as probably created a back order for some parts thereby causing Ford to suggest creating a Diet -IUP. Like GhostTX I will wait for the full IUP.

195 bucks for THAT? Not getting much for the money.

I bet most orderers wait for the IUP.

Some folks around here actually don't like the aluminum dash, but wish they could have a better steering wheel.

This is perfect for them.

For the record, I'm IUP all the way!

I'm guessing that this will turn out to be the only IUP offered on v6s.

I'll wait for the real IUP as well, but can you still get the color accent package with the new IUP?

I doubt it, but now I'm a little worried. That would be a surefire way to get me into an Acura RSX.

If it is everything but MyColor, then I would get it. If it doesn't have the dash panel and door jamb panels then I would wait.

I would be VERY frustrated with ford if they did that. Wouldnt that be false advertisement or something? since it's in all the literature so far?

Not necessarily, there are a few V-6's that have the full IUP on them, so technically it was an option that a production car has, just very limited.

Nope, its not false advertisement. They do offer it, they just ran out. "Supplies may be limited".

thegoalie: why do you doubt it? its the only thing that makes sense, why would they offer it otherwise?
