Nice GTOs ;-) I still remember the day when my brother-in-law brought over his special order brand new 67 GTO post sedan, dark green/blue, Hurst 3 spd, bench seat.
Do goats say "GRRRR"? Just kidding!
I know it came from the "GreaT One."
Cougars used the same "GRRR" in ads in the late 60s.

FORDFUN that is hilarious!!!!
2BONE123 I bought the V-6 so my 17 year old daughter and my wife could have a little fun in a sporty car and perhaps attend a car show . I wanted the stang to be the GT but wanted to be fair to all. I must say that the little V-6 is pretty darn quick and is a blast to drive. I wouldnt want to turn the daughter loose in one of the Goats. (for her sake and mine). The wife is afraid to drive the goats because as she says "They are to fast and to old" What does she know LOL.

Hello to all!! Heres the scoop> I own two completely restored gto's. A 1966 Tri-powered convertible and a 1964 Royal bobcat tri-powered 4 speed. Couldn't stand the looks of the new wannabe GTo, so, i opted for the cool crisp lines of the beautiful new mustang!!!! You talk about catchin the grief!!!
You would think i killed someone. I am big into the Goat scene and do national shows and such but the new ones? AAARRGH
The new goat might be a little more on the horse power side but it is a freaking import!!! It looks like any other ricer on the road and i wouldnt want to be seen in one! So heres to the new MUSTANGS
Sorry for the long post.

Seems to me you are going to enjoy the best of both worlds. Classic GTO's make everyone envious. New stangs seem to be having the same reaction. Enjoy the ride.
