I've been hearing the samething 
Someone saw it on 96 not too long ago. With our odd Michigan weather.. you know they're gonna be doing some kind of testing on it real soon.
One of the guys that was at the LaShish dinner with us, Nick, he works at SVT.. he did confirm that the Cobra has been on the roads here for testing.
I'll be on the hunt too from this side of town

Actually Roush and Saleen both have a lot of input into production mustangs. Saleen built the GT-R (I know not production). They were both involved in development of the '05 GT.
woh, where's that testing facility in Naples and crapolla, I didn't even think to go to Steeda just South of me to see what they had brewing. I haven't even seen the real deal yet!

Ummm most of the sv vehicles are supposed to be tested in naples. It is a very large facility that can be used all year long barring hurricances. There were a lot of ford gt's around here before they came out. It is very possible there is one running around fl.
