New Cervini '65 style' Louver for S197

If I didn't have a set of Silver Horse Racing louvers on order, I'd be switching out to these. They're sharp!

I'm sure you'd have no problem selling your SHR louvers if you like those better.

Danny's right--these may be the second best on the market.

Personally, I think this is the best looking louver yet. But it would be a pain to install and paint.

Hey Brad, looking at the link the upper front grill looks the same as the one on the Shelby GT. Are both the same grill?

No, I count 14 bars on the Cervinis piece and 13 on Shelby's. I think Cervini's is a full replacement grille while Shelby's is an overlay.

If that turns out to be the case it would be the solution to replace the Shelby GT's grill without altering its theme or appearance.

Yep that's how they are. I was at the Shelby plant and got a good up close and personal look at them, they're the same as the Hertz cars. They take the stock GT grille, cut out the pony and fogs and then mount the overlay grille overtop.

Cervini's is definitely a full replacement grill.

Rather than cut out the fogs and pony, seems like it would make more sense to just use a replacement grille. Using an overlay on a cut up factory grille just doesn't seem right to me.

I like cervinis design. It is the best looking "stuck on" louver yet, imho. I do think the shr louvers would look better if it had a trim ring around the outside edge just like the 65's did. To me that would give it more of a finished or detailed look.

Actually it's more like collateral damage.

I am inclined to think Shelby Autos will eventually part ways with the existing grille setup and come up with a more sensible alternative specially when one is available. It has to be bothering those waiting for the car of their dreams.
