I should get the car back Friday (crossover tubes are backordered), unless there was other damage done. I really hope the overheating didn't warp the heads or something.

The service rep said they won't start it up until the crossover is replaced, so they can't really do a diagnostic. I've been reading information on the class-action suit (search Chamberlan vs. Ford Motor Company) regarding the 1998-2001 Mustang 4.6 2Vs. I really thought Ford had this crossover BS figured out. There's another thread that I stated that I will post updates on titled "2008 Crossover Tubes = Bad !?"

Yeah, if your temp. gauge is reading any further towards the "hot" mark than halfway, something is probably wrong.

I cannot believe what I'm reading. How is a mistake like this allowed to escape the plant?

For shame Ford, for shame! This kind of silly mistake gives the haters viable material with which to continue their hate. At this stage of the game, you cannot afford to allow this kind of crap.

If I had an '08, I would park it till the part was available. Why take chances?
