New to 05+

So I just traded my 03 for a 05. Really enjoying the car so far. Had a question for you 05 and up vets though. I'm not really crazy about the wheels on the car. That would be about the only thing I'm not crazy about. So what I was looking at was some bullitt wheels. I had 18 inch saleen replicas on my 03 and I was lowered with h&r super sport springs. However I really don't want to lower this car. I much prefer the stock comfy ride to that of aftermarket springs. So my question I guess is will the 18's make the car look like a 4x4 and should I just stay with a 17. Maybe like a 17x9 or something. I know the sn95 stock ride height was outrageous to begin with. These cars don't seem to suffer as badly from that. Any pics would be appreciated

I think 17's look good on the 05-09 Mustangs. Any bigger and it just doesn't suit the style of the car IMO. I had 19's on my last 05-09 and it looked too "gangster" for me. The only Mustangs I like the bigger rims on is the Boss, Roush, or GT500's. i just don't think the regular GT's look right with them. Makes them look like they're trying to be something they're not...if that makes sense.

I have 20'' on mine and I love them. Mine is lowered and the stance is perfect. And my GT/CS looks exactly what it is supposed to look like: SEXY!

They are EuroTek wheels. 20x10 in the back and 20x9 in the front, staggered.

You can still lower and keep a fairly close to stock ride. I told myself I wasn't gong to lower my 06, but a month later I did. Just can't drive a 4 x 4 Mustang.

I don't get the 4x4 comments for the stock ride height. It's supposed to be a retro looking muscle car. Retro muscle cars weren't slammed to the ground, they sat pretty high. I think the stock ride height is fine IMO.
