Which dealers have a large inventory of GT's right now?

I know of Brandon Ford...any others with plenty of GT's sitting?

Also, any chance these dealers may accept X-plan?

Hi,

If you go to the Ford website, you can check what dealerships newr your area have what available. They provide contact information, and you can call them and ask about x-plan.
However, I have not heard of anyone getting x-price on an "on the lot" vehicle. Usually the dealerships that take x-plan actually order you another vehicle, not sell you the one in stock at x-price.
Moreover, it seems that it is too late to order an 05, so you might be SOL.
You might want to do a search for "X price" and see other people's experiences.

I do know about the online search, but I was also interested in knowing of big dealerships around the country in the hope they will have better allocation thus my order waiting time will be less. So do you know any big dealers?

To the best of my knowledge there shouldn't really be any dealerships with any GT's on the lot. Unless they are base and stripped with no features added.

HV - I know you are in Jersey - Try Oasis Ford or Dayton Ford. I know they have some on their lots - maybe you can see what's coming in and work out a deal on a car already with a build date?

My dealer still has no clue about my order - says that it's my car and a vert waiting for build date - said that it may not make it as a 05 (and ford took allocation away from them).

We'll see what happens - I want the 05 but If I have to wait for a 06 so be it! I just bought a new home so it won't be the worse thing in the world to hold off.

I live in NJ as well. I tried about 20 dealers. There were two or three that would take an X-Plan, but I would not receive the car until November or December. But I was looking for a GT Vert. Dayton has a few in stock, but they are asking for a few thousand dollars over MSRP. I ended up ordering a car with an X-Plan on 3/24 from Gary Yeomans Ford in Daytona Beach. It is being built next week. I figure the ride home will be fun.

Evidently, there are some dealers out there with them on the lots.
I went to http://www.autoextra.com/ , wich is part of Auto Trader Magazine http://www.traderonline.com , and did the following search:
2005 Ford Mustang any distance from my zip.
There are at least 30 GT's, most are at dealers and most are high asking prices.

100 miles around the Portland/Vancouver area there are exactly 0 GT Mustangs.

It depends on your area but for the most part there aren't a lot out there.

Before I got my car I checked around, and there are cars to be found in the Dallas area and around Nashville, TN. There are also a lot of cars ibn Florida. But the dealers are gouging there.
