I'm trying to decide between ordering redfire or torch red on the 05. In looking at all of the internet photos of red GT's, I am having a very difficult time telling which color I am looking at.

Here for example - the car in the back looks like redfire, but the 05 GT looks too dark to be torch red. which color is this?

and this one? they all look too dark to be torch red to me, but then again they look much lighter than what I believe are redfires in the back ground of the above two photos.

That's redfire in all of them. If you check the timeline, you'd know that Redfire is metallic, Torch red is not. That 04 in the first pic is Crimson Red according to the timeline. Explore this site a bit, you'd be surprised what you can find!

Hi, thanks for the reply! Actually I did search the site in its entirety and have been lurking here a good 6 months - even remember the shut down of Brad's site for a while and everyone using the forums over at BlueOvalNews.com

Anyway, I can tell the two apart when the same models in the two colors are in the photos together. So I wasnt too sure if the photos I was seeing of the seemingly darker red 05 GT were just camera trickery, lihting, etc. Intenet photos can be misleading sometimes.

Yup... those are all Redfire pics you have there.

Torch Red.. to me.. looks a lot like Performance Red... has some orange in it.. and I think TR was used on the 05 vert concept

All three of those pictures are of the same car. It's the Redfire GT from the Pony Drive tour. The 04 Convertible in the background is the 40th anniversary car (300th Millionth Ford) in Merlot paint. You are just picking up differences in lighting.

Redfire is metallic paint and Torch Red is more orange-red.

Good post, thanks. I have been contemplating on either Redfire or Torch and this post helped. IMHO...Torch seems to have too much orange when in bright light for my taste.

It was taken in the Grand Tetons, one of my most favorite places on Earth... go with Torch Red!

I'm going to Jackson Hole in Sept. Maybe they will have another mustang convention when I'm there. Although I doubt I would see them. I'll be flyfishing in the high country.

Does anyone else have more pics of the Redfire GT in this pic? I noticed it has the grey bullits, and that is exactly the car I would want. Thanks!
