I've read that DVD navigation will be available soon after 2007 launch and also read late availability. Does anyone know when this option will be in production or when late availability occurs?

 

Usually they make big changes/ additions like that at "mid year", or "job 2". Mid year is actually closer to the end of the calendar year, so you're probably looking at deliveries starting around January of next year on cars ordered with that option.

That sounds right. There was an earlier report on these boards that we're looking at December for availability.

 

I agree that adding DVD NAV option should be a Job 2 deal.

However, Job 2 can occur almost any time during the production run. In the past some other Ford vehicles have had Job 2 as soon as 3 months after Job 1.
