NastyStang Update

The McLeod RST has been in the car for 500 miles today. It's still phenomenal like it was in the beginning. Powershifting is no problem at 6,500 RPMs. Drives so smooth. It feels good to drive my car again. Now I'm getting my car to the point to where I'm pretty content with it and I can focus on little mods that will finish it off. I've got some one that can get me some parts for dirt cheap. GT500 rear bumper, hood, aluminum driveshaft, etc so that will be good. Anyways, here are some recent pictures of the car that I took a few weeks ago.

I also took some new pictures of the motor today. It was too sunny but I think they still came out pretty decent. I cleaned everything up under the hood, used some nice wire loom and organized some stuff, painted the brackets for my hood pins, polished and waxed the paint. I'm pretty happy with the results!!

That's a sinister looking Mustang. Nicely done.

Looks good! When you do the GT500 rear bumper be sure to tint those side markers too.

Looks great, love the tint level on the rear lights, more dark red than black. GT500/CS rear fascia will look awesome, go CS style with the sides painted gloss and only the center "diffuser" looking area the flat black.

I completely agree with you. That would be the way to go.

Perfect balance of red with the black. Just enuff red in sight to make it stand out. Your car is shiny as hell. What are u using? Nice work man.

I am jealous of the sexyness your car is hemorrhaging.

That's one of the small things that still needs to be done!

I'm probably going to smooth and paint the whole bottom but I agree it just wouldn't look right with the textured plastic.

Thanks! I really love the Black/Red combo. I'm a pretty avid detailer so I spend a lot of time detailing my car. The sad part about it is those photos the car is kind of dirty, there is a little pollen on top, and the car needed a detail. My neck of the woods right now is pretty bad for pollen right now. My car gets pollen on it even sitting in the garage over night after I wash it. I did it a week or two after those photos were taken. A full detail for myself consists of washing, claying, polishing with Meguiars #80 (PC 7424 / G100) until it's perfect, Poorboy's Black Hole glaze, Poorboy's EX-P Sealant with waiting an hour to remove, than a 12 hour cure time and re-wash and apply my favorite wax at the time. This last full detail I used my secret stash of discontinued and extinct Meguiars #16. I probably put in about 10-12 hours detailing my car this last time including claying, polishing, sealing the wheels and motor compartment. Not all in one day though!

It's the Roush front fascia and chin spoiler.
